Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation and refund policy is designed to be as fair and flexible as possible while allowing us to maintain the high quality and reliability of our services.

Cancellations by You

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. The following charges will apply:

  • More than 60 days before safari start date: Full refund minus any non-refundable third-party fees (e.g. domestic flights, permits).

  • 31–60 days before safari: 50% of total safari cost will be refunded.

  • 15–30 days before safari: 25% of total safari cost will be refunded.

  • 14 days or less before safari: No refund.

Refunds are processed within 14 working days of cancellation notice.

Cancellations by Us

In the rare event that Empire Travel Safaris must cancel your trip due to unforeseen circumstances (such as natural disasters, political unrest, or extreme conditions), we will assess the situation and provide the most appropriate solution.

This may include:

  • Rescheduling your safari to a future date, OR

  • Issuing a partial or full refund, depending on the timing, circumstances, and non-recoverable costs already incurred.

We will always strive to act in the best interest of our clients, while also ensuring the safety of our team and the sustainability of our operations.

COVID-19 Specific Policy

If you are unable to travel due to government travel bans, positive COVID-19 test results, or mandatory quarantine (with valid proof), we will offer:

  • A free date change within 12 months, OR

  • A refund minus non-recoverable costs (e.g. non-refundable flights or accommodation).

Changes to Your Booking

Date changes are allowed up to 30 days prior to safari start (subject to availability). Requests within 30 days may incur penalties or additional costs.

Non-Refundable Services

Some services may be non-refundable regardless of cancellation timing, such as:

  • Domestic flights

  • Park permits

  • Prepaid accommodation or activity bookings with strict vendor policies

These will be disclosed during the booking process.
