From mid-July to October, northern Serengeti becomes the stage for one of Earth’s most breathtaking spectacles: the Great Migration. Hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes sweep across the plains, culminating at the Mara River, where brave herds face crocodile-filled waters. This is more than a safari, it’s front-row seats to nature’s raw power. Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Arusha Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport and meet your safari guide. Transfer to Arusha Planet Lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park with a boxed lunch. Spot elephants, lions, leopards, and zebras on thrilling game drives. Overnight at Eileen’s Trees Inn. Day 3: Serengeti Central Drive to central Serengeti after breakfast. Enjoy lunch in the park and an afternoon game drive. Witness resident predators in action alongside migrating herds. Overnight at Central Serengeti Luxury Camp. Day 4: Northern Serengeti – Mara River Early breakfast and head to northern Serengeti to witness the dramatic Mara River crossings. Between July and October, see wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes brave crocodile-filled waters. Overnight at Heritage Mara Camp. Day 5: Serengeti National Park Morning game drive in northern Serengeti to witness more of the Great Migration. Return to central Serengeti for overnight at Central Serengeti Luxury Camp. Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Descend into the 600m caldera to spot the Big Five and enjoy a picnic near Hippo Pool. Afternoon game drive before returning to Eileen’s Trees Inn. Day 7: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara Explore Lake Manyara National Park, famous for tree-climbing lions, elephants, and diverse birds. Return to Arusha Planet Lodge for overnight. Day 8: Departure from Arusha After breakfast, optional visit to the Ceramic Water Project of East Africa before transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure.
